Na Yeon Choi

Na Yeon Choi. This petite, sweet young Korean lady, the US Open champion, is having a fun time at the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia tournament.

This US1.9million tournament’s defending champion scored 65 on the first day, followed by a 67 on the second. That sums up to 10-under 132.

There are 36 holes of golf left to be played, and golf is a crazy game, the weather can play havoc, so she could stumble and topple over the next two days but still,  everybody is wondering who could really catch up with her.

Could it be American Sydnee Michaels who is two strokes back, or Suzann Petterson who shot the course-record 64 at 7-under with three others? Can Paula Creamer who is now four strokes away do it?

Have a great weekend, everyone!

and now, after 11 holes, Yeon Choi is tied at -15 with Inbee Park!!

  3. PakNgah says:

New leader!! Inbee Park with a birdie on 13th bringing her to -16. Na Yeon Choi stuck at -15.

  4. PakNgah says:

A little drama on Par 5 15th. Park Inbee couldn’t get out from the fairway bunker with her first strike, 4th shot still not on the green but ended up with a Par. Webb pushed her shot way right into the bunker, 3rd shot on the green-side bunker, 4th still outside the green. Na Yeon Choi into the greenside bunker with her 2nd. Missed her birdie and walked away with a Par. But any reasonable chances of defending her crown gone.

Two holes left, Inbee leading by two.

  5. PakNgah says:

Great drama on these last three holes. Inbee Park with 3-shot lead, pushed her drive to the rough on the right, fluffed her 2nd into the fairway bunker. Na yeon is safely on the green in two. birdie chance coming.

  6. PakNgah says:

In the end, Inbee Park becomes the Malaysia LPGA champ with a two-stroke victory, -15. Na Yeon is 2nd. Karrie Webb 3rd. PinkLady T6 -9.

    Congrats Inbee Park!
